Abuse & Trauma Counseling

Anger, substance use, sadness, loneliness, anxiety, avoidance and self-esteem issues can result from many different syndromes including trauma bullying and abuse. It can be difficult without proper training, to discern the difference between depression and anxiety, and the depression and anxiety that is secondary to trauma and abuse unless the symptom profile of trauma and abuse is well understood. Once a symptom profile is fully evaluated, a therapist is able to conceptualize and implement a treatment plan in cooperation with the client. This plan needs to reflect the personal nature of each client’s circumstances. Moving too quickly or too slowly in counseling is not helpful. Together we can address your goals in the time frame and manner that works best for you.

Ongoing education in this evolving field is an important component to effective treatment. Dr. Zeidlhack, a licensed psychologist, is knowledgeable about the differences in how men and women are raised and how these differences impact their respective symptom profile. He understands the process of change and knows how to work with emotional pain that accompanies trauma.  His techniques are time tested.
